The Death of Barbaro
Please don't attend horseraces! Barbaro the horse (Kentucky derby winner) was put to sleep. After shattering his hind leg during a race, they tried to help him recover for the last four months with no success. Many say that they just wanted to use him as a stud. This fatal injury would have never occured had he not been pushed beyond his capabilities. It is unnatural to put animals in races, sports or entertainment and this shows why. Jockeys have said that this is a common occurance with hundreds of horses per year. In honor of Barbaros, please boycott horse racing and oher animal exploitation.
